The past few years Karolina Pliskova has been on top of the WTA’s ace leaderboard. June 2017, Pliskova launched the Karolina Endowment Fund.
So, what makes this fund so interesting and fun? For every ace Pliskova hit at the U.S. Open, her fund donated 200 euros to the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Department of Motol University Hospital in Prague. To help with promotion for her cause, she has created the hashtag #AceQueen and #Bojuj, which means “fight” in Czech. In 2015 she hit 517 aces and 530 in 2016. Talk about having fun to raise funds!
